ONEOK Field

Home of Tulsa Drillers and FC Tulsa

ONEOK Field is host to both the Tulsa Drillers AA baseball team and the FC Tulsa Soccer Club.

In 2015, when USL soccer was reintroduced to the Tulsa market, the team was without a pitch for games. The management for the Roughnecks approached JONESPLAN to convert the baseball field to a soccer pitch. Since then, JONESPLAN has been coordinating with both teams to provide a solid playing field for soccer games and then quickly turn the converted field back into a baseball field for use by the Tulsa Drillers.

Over the course of about 9 months, from pre-season to regular season and then hopefully into the playoffs, JONESPLAN conducts at least 22 separate mobilization and demobilization events. The incredibly quick turnaround time for the conversions is a challenge for several reasons, including acceptability of sod that can only be harvested during a certain time of year, very long hours (often during holidays) for the crew, safety concerns of a quick installation, and quality control that ensures a suitable and safe pitch for play. Over the years, by working with the team management for both FC Tulsa and Tulsa Drillers, as well as tight coordination with Riverview Sod Ranch, JONESPLAN has streamlined a conversion process that allows for quick, safe and successful installation and demobilization.
